Arts & Crafts Competition

Arts and Crafts competition is held within the framework of International festival of children and youth art and pedagogical innovations Russian Cup of Art "Art Assembly".

Dates: October 8-13, 2019.
Registration deadline: until September 30, 2019.
Winners announcement and Award ceremony: October 13, 2019.
Exhibition hall: Exhibition Complex of Moscow Academic Art Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Address: Moscow, Krimskiy Val street 8/2 (metro station "Oktyabrskaya").

Participation forms: IN PERSON and IN ABSENTIA
There are two equivalent forms of participation.:
1) IN PERSON participation: originals or copies of art objects;
2) In absentia participation: the author sends electronic versions of art objects to the competition. The organizing committee prints files and places it in the general exposition (A3 format).

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS / PARTICIPATION RULES
in International Arts and Crafts competition

 

Art objects presented for the competition can be performed in any decorative and applied technique, using any materials - oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolors, tempera, plastic, natural materials, leather, etc., the size of no more than one Whatman sheet.

Age categories of the participants:
• Category “Kids”: up to 7 years
• Category “Young”: from 8 to 10 years
• Category “Middle”: from 11 to 13 years old
• Category “Older”: from 14 to 16 years old
• Category “Junior”: from 17 to 21 years
• Category “Teacher”: not limited

1) Decorative painting
2) Decorative panel
3) Murals, inlays, carvings
4) Dolls and toys
5) Souvenirs and gifts
6) Jewelry & Accessories
7) Ceramics
8) Mosaics and stained glass
9) Forging and casting
10) Architectural layout
 
Nominations for category:
Category "Teacher"

1) painting of plane objects (fabrics, batik, etc.)

2) painting of volumetric objects
3) creation of planar objects (panels, collages, etc.)
4) creation of volumetric objects (decorative sculpture)
6) Toys
6) souvenirs and gifts
7) jewelry and accessories
8) mosaics, stained-glass windows, inlays
9) floristry and natural materials
10) costume design (sketches and finished products) 

 

Technical requirements:

1) full-time participants provide art objects prepared for exhibiting:
а) flat objects should have devices for hanging on vertical panels (hooks, mounts, eyelets, etc.);
b) volumetric compositions and objects should have supports that prevent obstruction of the object.
2) in absentia participants present photos of the competitive works in electronic form, the organizing committee print received files, prepare them and present in the general exhibition. The file must be at least 150-300 dpi and up to 15mb.

2) label for each art object (in format Word, PDF)
3) photos of  art objects (in format .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, up to 20 mb each file)

The jury assess categories separately.

According to the results of the jury's work, lists of winners are formed for each age and professional category and in each nomination. The winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas of the Organizing Committee and the Artistic Council of the competition, recommendations for artistic directors, participation in a number of foreign exhibitions. All participants receive a certificate of participation (Diploma).
